CAFNE TO HOLD ANNUAL RECEPTION ON JULY 18, 2019
The Canadian Association for Numismatic Education (CAFNE) Annual Reception will take place on Thursday, July 18, 2019 (6:30 pm - 8:30 pm) during the Royal Canadian Numismatic Association convention in Calgary.
The venue for the reception will be the Nickle Arts Museum in Calgary. Attendance is limited to about one hundred people and two buses will take conventioneers from the Best Western Premier Calgary Plaza and Conference Centre hotel to the Museum. The reception is free to attend and you must sign up in advance on the RCNA 2019 convention registration form in advance.
The Nickle Arts Museum is one of the finest in Calgary and they are planning a special numismatic exhibit during the reception. Snacks and drinks will be available during the evening. The well-known and popular "Silent Auction" will be held where a few donated items will be available for purchase through the auction.
The Canadian Association for Numismatic Education assists in providing funding to groups holding educational events across the country. CAFNE accepts donations which, in turn are provided to fund these numismatic educational events.
The CAFNE board of Directors include the following individuals : Robert Forbes - Chairman, Henry Nienhuis, William Waychison, Scott Douglas, Yvon Marquis, Mike Walsh, Chris, Boyer, Lloyd Chan and Michael Turrini. The Secretary of the Association is Paul Johnson.
